I'm working on changing my alternator and one of the wiring harnesses is stuck. Is it supposed to come out or do I have to rewire it?
sometimes you get grime and grit down behind the tab that you must press to get the harness loose,see if that is the problem,the harness should unplug,no car has a hard wired alternator harness.

Ford alternator wiring questions
I'm trying to figure out how to wire an alternator from a 1992 e150 into a 1990 f150.

---Allegedly--- if things come to pass, the gods smile on me, lord willing and the creek dont rise, I’ll be called by HR at the LTC/R facility and told to go for my physical/piss test. I spoke with the HR persons assistant and what I seemed to hear from her is that they may want m to start around the 19th. I’d be on a 2300-0700 CNA tour and then oce I pass my boards (hopefully) would swap initials and do the same time but as an LPN. My motorcycle, my primary means of transport right now, is being tempermental. I am %99.9 certain the problem is electrical/battery. I suspect I need a new battery (current one is 3 y/o). However, the wiring on the + battery terminal is a litle, shall we say,...casual. I really need to break it down, clean the contact points, maybe solder up some proper connectors and then give the thing a go. If it’s still quirky, then I’ll put in an new battery, although thats 60-70 bucks I need to find. If –that- doesn’t work then I need to slap a meter on the alternator and see exactly whats happening there, although when the motorcycle is running the battery is atching around 12.7-13.2 volts, so the alternator is probably not the culprit. Also just uncovered another batch of chemical protective masks. Still a steal at $50 each with foil wrapped filters, voice meters and all the goodies. Shipping extra. These cost several hunded each when new. These are New Unused Old Stock ca. 2002 from DHS. Absolutely first class and will stop damn near –everything- (cs, cn, vx, sarin, mustartd, lewisite, bio, etc.). Need to find some bucks to order up new pants for (---hopefully---) work. I have my white school pants but they lack pockets where I want and need. I’m going to order up a half dozen pair of grey cotton rip-stop BDU pants. For nursing, they’re pretty close to perfect. I have EMT pants but they’re the heavy poly/cotton blend. LTC/R facilities are H-O-T!! As winter approaches I need to start looking at getting through this one again....
